4/25/13-We are super close to finishing the Distractions debut record so to lead up to the finish of the record we will be releasing a 10 part teaser series of videos called “Bring it Back”, which is the title of our record. Here is episode #1. Enjoy.
3/23/13-Hello to all the LOYAL Distractions out there. We just got back from our North East Coast tour and was it wild! It’s good to be back in Los Angeles and back into the studio to finish our DEBUT record. So far it’s sounding great and we can’t wait to dance with you…..
1/8/13-OPENING NIGHT!! Johnny Madcap and The Distractions January residency at the Redwood Bar starts tonight and what a lineup. We have one of LA’s raddest new bands The Withers a perfect blend of 60′s garage and modern pop joining us as well as punk is dead providing awesome punk rock covers opening the show then you will get two sets from The Distractions and all for $5. Stocked deep and sold cheap. Join the revolution….
1/7/13-Johnny Madcap and The Distractions are becoming one of the busiest bands in town! Our new year starts off right tomorrow night at the redwood for our 4 show stand there. 4 nights, 8 sets details below. Then in February were coming to visit our East Coast friends. Distractions go!!!
12/31/12-On behalf of Johnny Madcap and The Distractions we wish all of you a safe and happy new years! This last year has been great for us and 2013 will eclipse it. Thanks for the support and we hope to see you at the first show of our second residency at the redwood tuesday january 8th with The Withers!!
12/15/12-It’s Finally here! Tonight is the 4th annual “Christmas with The Distractions” also Dirty Santa’s, Wild Roses and The Withers will be joining us for what every year has become a memorable night. Come out and celebrate Xmas the Johnny Madcap way Dirty, wild, withered and Distracted!!
11/22/12-Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Today we are thankful for being the coolest band in the world. We are also thankful for having the coolest friends and fans in the world. And we are super thankful to be playing the redwood on saturday dec. 15th.

8/30/12-Tomorrow night we’re kicking off Labor Day Weekend right with a special performance at our home away from home, The Redwood in Downtown. Sharing the stage with us is Channel 3 and Akabane Vulgars on Strong Bypass from Japan! Get there early, this is a night not to be missed…
7/25/12-Last night at the redwood was awesome and one of the best shows on the residency so far. Thanks to all the Distractions new and old for comin out. Next tuesday is our last show at the redwood then to end it all we will be playing all of our80′s sets at the Northeast Records 80′s prom night. If you don’t know about it, Get hip……
7/16/12-If you’ve been to any of our shows at The Redwood this month you do not want to miss tomorrow night! This one’s gonna be a rocker. Great lineup with Bad cop/Bad cop and The Breakdowns and of course you get a different Johnny Madcap and The Distractions set as well as a different 80′s cover set and all for only $5. That’s right folks! The self proclaimed saviors of Rock ‘n’ Roll will be doing a residency at the redwood in Downtown LA every tuesday in the month of july. Are you ready for a Distrac…tions set like you’ve never seen? Are you ready for an 80′s dance party? if not get ready! Johnny Madcap and The Distractions will end every night with a full set of 80′s covers for your dancing enjoyment. This is something we’ve always wanted to do and now is the time. Joining us will be some of the coolest bands in LA and as usual we keep our door price to $5. 3/26/12- We are hard at work here in distraction land! We are still in the studio putting finishing touches on our first studio record. We have some great shows coming up so stay tuned! And thank you for taking the road to rock ‘n’ roll with us!
2/22/12- Friends and fellow Distractions. We are hard at work on our first record and will enter motor studios in San Francisco early march to lay down the tracks! After the record is done we are working on a touring schedule so we can meet all of you in person. Stay Distracted!!

10/20/11- The boys are hard at work writing the new full length due out early next year all while continuing to fly that flag for Rock ‘n’ Roll! New shows added to the TOUR DATES section including our annual Xmas show.
9/19/11- New SHOWS, new SONGS, Modern Pop Records and more! We have some great shows coming up with East Bay Ray and The Killer Smiles in Oct. Check the Tour Dates section for info. We are Currently in the studio recording new songs that will be released on our newly started record label Modern Pop Records! The LYRICS section is almost up and running as well. 8/25/11- Thanks to everyone in San Francisco, CA; Eugene, OR; and Seattle, WA for coming out to our West Coast Party! We had a lot of fun and the shows would not have been as great as they were without great people like you. We will be seeing you all again soon!
